Spanish school in San Sebastian
The school in San Sebastian is located only 10 minutes from the beach. It is near to the Cristina Enea Park , the largest park in San Sebastian and right next door to the modern Mundaiz Gym. It is only a short distance from the district of Egia, with its numerous bars and restaurants.
The school has 18 spacious, fully equipped and air-conditioned classrooms. There is an open air terrace with snacks, coffee and drinks machines. Facilities also include a large reception area, an expansive social area and library, and computers with Wi-Fi access. There is a second premises with 7 classrooms next to the cathedral which is used during busier periods.
The Spanish School has been designed to facilitate learning and communication in a pleasant, modern atmosphere. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful and all teachers are fully qualified to teach Spanish as a foreign language. This school is also used for adult courses year round.

Standard course
The standard course focuses on grammar work and the development of oral and written skills through entertaining and motivational learning activities. Our dynamic teaching approach based on an active learning process stimulates young students, encourages their interest in language and improves their knowledge of French culture

Surf lessons
Add a surf course to your Spanish course! San Sebastian is an ideal destination for surf lovers and boasts surf spots for all levels.
The course consists of a 3 hours of surfing over 2 days.

- The minimum number is almost always met!
- All the equipment is included on the price: surfboard, wetsuit and insurance.
Football lessons
Students have the opportunity to combine their Spanish course for teenagers with football lessons in San Sebastian. Students follow the normal 5 hours of Spanish classes a day and have 2 hours of football lessons a week. 1 hour on a Tuesday and 1 hour on a Thursday. Football lessons are subject to time changes
Kayaking lessons
Students have the opportunity to combine their Spanish course for teenagers with kayaking lessons in San Sebastian. Students follow the normal 5 hours of Spanish classes a day and have 2 hours of kayaking lessons a week. 1 hour on a Tuesday and 1 hour on a Thursday. Kayaking lessons and times are subject to tide conditions.
Accommodation
Host Family
Each student will be placed with a Spanish host family with whom they will live during their stay in San Sebastian, Spain. Breakfast and dinner will take place with the Spanish host family. This system works well because the student receives the support of a family structure and will be looked after when not participating in the Spanish School activities.
The Spanish families we use for this programme are carefully chosen with the Spanish teenager course programme in mind. Students will receive a warm welcome and become another member of the household for the duration of their Spanish teenager course in San Sebastian. Students must respect the Spanish programme schedule and inform their Spanish host family of any outings they have during their designated free time periods.
Accommodation is from the Sunday before the Spanish Teenager course in San Sebastian starts to the Saturday after the Spanish course ends. Extra days are available on request. Accommodation includes breakfast and dinner with the family plus a packed lunch. Families are located 5 to 30 minutes from the Spanish school in San Sebastian on foot or by public transport.
Transfers
A transfer service from San Sebastian, Bilbao or Biarritz airport to your Spanish host family in San Sebastian is available at an extra cost. Alternatively we can provide you with advice on travel, but we do recommend teenagers take advantage of the school transfer service.

Saturday | Visit to Hondarria & Hendaye – Visit two small towns that are located on the border of Spain and France, divided only by a short boat ride. | Biarritz & San Juan de Luz – Get to know the French Basque Country by visiting San Juan de Luz known for its beaches and shopping. Then on to Biarritz for its scenic coastline and impressive châteaus. |

Supervision
Curfews
Students are expected to respect the night curfew times.
- 14 – 15 year olds
- Students have to abide by the curfew as set by the host family and will have to be in earlier than older students
- 16-17 year olds
- Mondays to Thursdays and Sundays - 11 pm
- Fridays – 1 am
- Saturday – 2 am
If students do not respect their curfew times the school reserves the right to take away later curfew privileges or in some cases expel the student.
