Spanish AS/A-level revision course

The Spanish A-level revision courses in Madrid are aimed at AS and A2 level Spanish students wanting to revise their Spanish skills in preparation for their Spanish A-level exams. Students will gain confidence speaking Spanish, tackle linguistic weaknesses, improve their grammar and vocabulary and develop their knowledge to help them successfully pass their Spanish A-level exams.

The Spanish A-level course programme has been specially designed for pupils currently revising for their Spanish AS and A2-level exam with accordance to the syllabus and exam content of AQA, OCR, Edexcel, WJEC, CCEA and SQA examination boards. During the Spanish A-level revision course you will thoroughly revise the Spanish skills you need to pass your Spanish AS or A-level exam as well as raising your general level of Spanish. You will be surprised by how fast you progress and master exam technique.

Students will have 20 general Spanish group lessons a week, with international students of the same level. Accommodation

Host Family

Living with a Spanish host family is a great way to experience life in Madrid, learn more about Spanish culture, and of course, an additional opportunity to improve your Spanish. We recommend staying with a Spanish host family for Spanish A-level students who want to learn Spanish quickly and get the most out of their Spanish A-level revision course in Madrid. Staying with a Spanish family allows you to be totally immersed in the Spanish lifestyle and customs in a relaxed and comfortable environment conducive to study.

You will find your Spanish hosts welcoming, kind, talkative and friendly. Many of our students stay in touch with their Spanish host family after leaving Madrid and become lifetime friends. You will learn the delights of Spanish cuisine eating typical Spanish dishes prepared by your Spanish family. Breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal are included.

The school will ask you to complete a questionnaire two weeks prior to your arrival. This will allow them to identify your preferences and dislikes (such as smoking, pets, young children) and enable them to ensure you are placed with a suitable Spanish family.

Students should be prepared to adapt to the rules and ways of life of the Spanish family (such as meal times). You will be given your own keys so you are free to come and go as you please. Guests are prohibited. Host families can be couples or single people, with or without children.

Students can choose between a single or shared room (if sharing with a friend) on a full-board (breakfast, lunch and evening meal) basis.

Rooms with a private bathroom are available on request and subject to availability.

Transfer

A transfer service from and to Madrid airport to your accommodation is available at an extra cost. Alternatively it is fairly easy and cheaper to get the metro or taxi from Madrid airport to your accommodation.

Leisure

The school complements the Spanish A-level course in Madrid with a cultural and social activities programme; 10 hours a week dedicated to learning more about the culture and customs of Spain and getting to know the city of Madrid a little bit better. 10 hours of cultural and social activities a week are made up by two hours every afternoon or evening from Monday to Friday. At the beginning of the week your Spanish teacher will let you know about the Cultural and Social Programme for the week so that you can decide what activities you would like to participate in and write your name down on the signup sheet. If you then change your mind, you can easily remove your name from the sheet.
