German school in Lindau
The German language school in Lindau is situated in the historical building of the main station at the famous harbour of Lindau. All premises and the terrace offer a view of the Constance and the Alps. The pedestrian zone of the medieval centre of Lindau situated on an island in Lake Constance is just a few steps away.
The school building is well suited for our school's purposes. Design and interior of our school help to create an atmosphere where our students feel at home.
Facilities include: 11 classrooms, a reception area, lounge area, cafeteria, computers with Wi-Fi access and a study centre.

Morning courses
Intensive course
Our Morning Intensive Course consists of 20 lessons and takes place from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm in groups with the same language level and a maximum of 11 participants. Grammar, writing, speaking, and listening are encouraged in the classroom.

Afternoon Courses
For even faster progress, we recommend to benefit from our afternoon programme in addition to the intensive course in the morning: on two afternoons, we offer a course for exam preparation and on two further afternoons, a lesson focusing on conversation.
Intensive Plus course- Conversation
Our Intensive Plus Course consists is as the Intensive Course with the added bonus of 5 extra lessons. The 5 extra lessons place on two afternoons per week from 13:30 – 15:25 pm. Here too, the classes take place in groups with a maximum of 11 participants. This course is a deepening of the morning lesson, focusing on conversation.

Exam Preparation
The afternoon course Exam Preparation consists of 5 lessons per week and takes place on two afternoons from 13:30 - 15:25 pm. With a maximum of 11 participants per group we will prepare you for the various exams offered by the German school in Lindau.

Combined course
Students follow the German Intensive Course and have an extra 5 or 10 private lessons each week depending on how intensive a course they desire. Perfect for students that want the diversity of a group course but would like a few private lessons to focus on a specific area of the language, topic or exam.

Accommodation
Host Family
Your German hosts can be couples (married or not) as well as singles, with or without children. All hosts have been inspected by the school, and many have been hosting students for several years. Host families are usually within 20 and 30 minutes by bus or bicycle to the school. The school try and host you in a family where there are no other students that have the same first language as yourself.
Accommodation is in a single or double room with half board (breakfast and one warm meal per day).
Student House
Minimum age: 18+
The student house is located just off Lindau Island, within walking distance of the school, the centre, the station, swimming areas and night-life. It is 100 metres from the waterfront.
Facilities include:

- shared bathrooms with showers
- fully equipped shared kitchen
- terrace with a view of the park
- washing machine and tumble dryer
- bed-linen (no towels available, students bring their own)

German Hostel
Minimum age: 18+
The German hostel is a maximum 2 minutes walking distance to the school, the centre, the station and 200 metres to the waterfront.
Facilities and services include:
- 14 single rooms and double rooms
- 1 studio with own bathroom and kitchenette
- lounge and communal kitchen
- kitchen usage until 11 p.m.
- all rooms newly renovated in 2015
- shared bath rooms with showers
- completely equipped community kitchen
- washing machines, dryer
- Free Wi-Fi
- bed linen to be changed every two weeks by the residence service
- weekly cleaning service for all common areas

A transfer service from the following airports to your accommodation is available at an extra cost:

Leisure
For a small town, Lindau has an extraordinary variety of leisure attractions to offer: restaurants, pubs, discos, theatre, a casino, galleries, museums, cinemas, cafés...
The entertainment offered ranges from all sorts of concerts (classical, jazz, rock...) and open air events in Lindau's squares and lanes (theatre, festivals, markets) to the many traditional town festivals:

Lindau is a very good place for every type of sport, for example cycling, tennis, squash, swimming, riding, ball games, walking...
In summer the lake offers all sorts of water sports: sailing, rowing or windsurfing. Bicycle routes along Lake Constance and through the countryside will invite you to explore the beautiful landscape. In winter Lindau has its own ice-rink, winter sports resorts are within easy reach and offer alpine and cross-country skiing trails of international reputation.
