Accommodation
Host Family
Living with a Spanish host family is a great way to experience life in Madrid, learn more about Spanish culture, and of course, an additional opportunity to improve your Spanish. We recommend staying with a Spanish host family for students who want to learn Spanish quickly and get the most out of their Spanish course in Madrid. Staying with a Spanish family allows you to be totally immersed in the Spanish lifestyle and customs in a relaxed and comfortable environment conducive to study.
You will find your Spanish hosts welcoming, kind, talkative and friendly. Many of our students stay in touch with their Spanish host family after leaving Madrid and become lifetime friends. You will learn the delights of Spanish cuisine eating typical Spanish dishes prepared by your Spanish family. Breakfast and dinner are included.
The school will ask you to complete a questionnaire two weeks prior to your arrival. This will allow them to identify your preferences and dislikes (such as smoking, pets, young children) and enable them to ensure you are placed with a suitable Spanish family.
Students should be prepared to adapt to the rules and ways of life of the Spanish family (such as meal times). You will be given your own keys so you are free to come and go as you please. Guests are prohibited. Host families can be couples or single people, with or without children.
Students can choose between a single or shared room (if sharing with a friend) on a half-board (breakfast and evening meal) basis.
Shared flat
We recommend shared apartments for independent students who enjoy being able to cook for themselves. In pleasant residential areas of Madrid, these simply furnished apartments offer great value self-catering accommodation and the opportunity to meet other young international students, travellers and working people.
The shared flats typically consist of 4 or 5 bedrooms.
Students can choose from a single room, shared room or a shared room for single use.
Student Residence
We recommend student residence (university residence) for independent students who would like to meet other young students and live in a stimulating and fun environment. The residence is centrally located close to Plaza de España, Palacio de Moncloa (Residence of the Spanish Prime Minister), shopping centres and the Casa de Campo (large park). There is a direct metro line to the school which takes less than 20 minutes.
The residence setting and environment is perfect for your study time in Spain as it is quiet, relaxed and secure. You will be given keys to the building, so there are no curfews or time restrictions. You will live with Spaniards in a friendly communal environment. Many of the other students in this residence are Spanish, you will have a good opportunity to meet people from Madrid and improve your Spanish.
Students can chose between a single or double room (if sharing with a friend). Rooms with a private bathroom are available at an extra cost. Full board is included, breakfast includes juice, pastries, toast and coffee. The lunches and dinners are varied, balanced and healthy.

The school complements its structured classroom studies with a Cultural and Social Activities Programme; 10 hours a week dedicated to learning more about the culture and customs of Spain and getting to know the city of Madrid a little bit better. 10 hours of cultural and social activities a week are made up by two hours every afternoon or evening from Monday to Friday.
